Dream Con 2023 ✧˚ ༘ ⋆。 ˚

Earlier last year  I decided to get out of my comfort zone and apply to be a vendor at Dream Con, best decision ever! I was on a mission to make anxiety my b*tch.

I applied just before the application was closing and was so anxious because the last Con I went to, I could just pay for the booth. Low and behold I got accepted and was super excited, A lot of my internet friends and people I admired  were going so I made goodie bags and cute notes  just in case we crossed paths. I kid you not everyone I wanted to give a goodie bag to walked past my booth and I was able to give it to them.

The experience was insane and I was only just a vendor, It was overwhelming for me at first because I'm usually alone and introverted but I had an amazing time, everyone and I mean everyone was so kind, the volunteers, the people who handled vendors and booths. I even made vendor friends. I was nervous for no reason. I have very big feelings and emotions so something as simple as someone stopping by and complimenting had me on cloud nine.

I'm very grateful for everyone who helped me and allowed me to have these big emotions because it was stressful getting prepared for it and the end result was so dope. My best friend drove to Houston to pick me up and work for me, thanks again Galvin! My partner also drove from Houston to Austin after a 60 hour work week to help me on his only off day. The amount of support I received was absolutely amazing.

I don't think any amount of thanks I give to my customers can sound genuine, yes the money is always amazing but meeting you and having amazing conversations has been the highlight of running my business, it's probably so corny to other people but I'm still so shocked when people are excited about my products and stuff that I made, it's so cool!

I got to meet my bestie Lex and she was total sweet heart! @TheLunarLex

I fit right in, I sold out of so much stuff and felt so bad because people wanted to buy something haha, it was just so cool. I am my biggest critic so I always want to make sure my products are top quality and the presentation is well thought out and all my customers and people who visited me  made sure I knew what I made was amazing.  I laughed, I even cried and most importantly I accomplished what I wanted to do. I put myself out there.

I decided to turn a composition into a "Convention Yearbook" And so many people signed it . I'm  going to bring it to every convention I go to from now on! Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I hope to experience many more emotions likes this again!

   Thank you for being here.

- With love, Aubre
